3 Easy and Healthy Snacks for Little Ones

TORTILLAS VEGETARIAN PIZZAS

For 12 small pizzas

Ingredients:

  • 3 large whole-wheat tortillas
  • ¾ cup homemade or store-brought pizza sauce
  • ½ cup vegetables of your choice (some ideas: peppers, tomatoes, spinach. mushrooms, etc.)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Italian spices to taste

Preparation:

1) Preheat oven to 425°C.
2) Lightly grease a muffin pan.
3) With a glass or a cookie cutter, cut circles into tortillas. The circles should be big enough to fit in the muffin tins of the pan. Put the tortillas pieces in muffin tins.
4) Add 1 tbsp. of pizza sauce on each tortilla circle. Add vegetables and cheese.
5) Cook for ten minutes.
6) Once cooked, add some italian spices and enjoy while it’s hot!

 

YOGURT COVERED BLUEBERRIES

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint of blueberries
  • 1 cup to 1 ½ cup vanilla greek yogurt

Preparation:

1) Pour yogurt in a bowl.
2) On a cookie sheet, lay a piece of parchment paper.
3) With a toothpick, dip each blueberry in yogurt making sure they are well covered and put it on the parchment paper.
4) Once all blueberries are yogurt covered, put the cookie sheet in the freezer.
5) Freeze for 1 hour and enjoy!

 

MINI SKEWER SNACKS

For 10 mini skewers

Ingredients:

  • 5 roasted turkey slices cut in half
  • 10 cheddar cheese cubes
  • 10 cherry tomatoes

Preparation:

1) On a toothpick, put half a roasted turkey slice, one cheddar cheese cube and one cherry tomato.
2) Start over on a new tooth pick until all mini skewers are ready to eat!
